SALT & CEDAR Poetry: Hoa Nguyen, Melanie Janisse-Barlow and Damian Rogers
January 28, 2017, 8:30 pm
at Salt & Cedar

Poets will commence reading once guests are settled at the table for food. After the readings, there will be some guided discussion on a variety of topics including: hidden knowledge, the occult and everyday magic, recovery—especially of the feminine divine, the importance of the local and the rhizome, marrow as metaphor, divination/intuition and how these relate back to poetry as practice. Born in the Mekong Delta and raised in the Washington DC area, UDP author Hoa Nguyen currently lives in Toronto. Her poetry collections include 'As Long As Trees Last', 'Red Juice', 'Poems 1998-2008', and 'Violet Energy Ingots'. More event information here.
