Excerpt ˇ

I'm looking forward
To going with you
To a museum.

"Leave apoptosis
And other topics
Of conversation
For later: we must
Now talk about art."

If I remember
Duccio was Giotto's
Keeping my voice down,
I'll guide your shoulders.
"Look at this painting:
You see what he did?"

It will delight me
If you turn around
And ask a question.
"I don't remember
The particulars,
But I can tell you
The main idea."

Reaching a panel
Painted by Piero
Della Francesca,
I'll want to tell you
What everything means.

In an empty room,
How fine that you are
Paying attention.
